Kudus to the Garden Club!

Today (April 30th) the Garden Club of Harrington Park  held it’s annual plant sale in the Borough Hall parking lot. Club members sold quality perennials from nursery stock and their own “homegrown” perennials and shared their knowledge with interested visitors. Which plants attract butterflies?  Which are deer resistant? (…nothing is deer proof!). garden club perennial saleWhich ones do best in our area? {I learned a lot!} On May 15th, club members will create beautiful annual displays in the barrels downtown and the resident Alberta Spruce trees will be removed and “tree-sat” at members homes until the fall. Going strong in it’s 26th year, the Garden Club meets Sept- June on the first Thursday of the month at the HP library.
