The Harrington Park Green Team supports local farmers markets and farm stands. Members have been taking and posting photographs on FaceBook to get the words out to “buy Fresh, Buy Local”. Cindy Kennedy stopped by the River Vale Farmers Market last Thursday and found friendly “wine, chili, smoothie, bakery, fruits & vegetable, flowers, and ceramic vendors plus more…and it looked to be well attended”.
The River Vale Farmers Market is held on Thursdays from 12pm-6pm in the parking lot adjacent to the tennis courts at 406 Rivervale Road. The last market of 2014 will be held on October 30th.
