Successful fall cleanup on Nov 16th!

precleanup 2A cleanup of the Bogert’s Mill bridge area and the west side of the OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAHacksack River/reservoir took place on Saturday Nov 16th. The cleanup was sponsored by Harrington Park’s Environmental Commission, Green Team and Beautification Committee in conjunction with United Water & the Bergen County Clean Communities Program.

What was found and collected for proper disposal: 3 tires (two were fished out of the river, one was dug out of the mud!), 3 large plastic garbage cans, a plastic choochoo train, LOTS of golf balls, several plastic buckets and a lawn chair, the usual beer and soda cans, nip bottles, many plastic bags, chip bags, cigarette packages, also …a rabbit hutch (!) and an old TV. the collected garbageold TVThe Harrington Park banner will be cleaned and put up again on a utility pole.walking across bogerts


Three large barrels were filled with recyclables.
