Beechwood Park is a beautiful park located at the west side of town and a short walk there will give you a good sense of North Jersey woods in winter. To get to Beechwood Park (from HP School) go north on Lynn St > turn left on Beechwood Place > then make a quick left on Richard Court. A sign marks the entrance to the park and a kiosk, constructed by Boy Scout Nicholas Venezia, with information about the park and the beech trees, is at the start of the marked trail. The trail ends at Blanche Brook. It is not possible to cross the stream at present, due to downed trees, but the trail…and the woods west, ending at the Hackensack River invite exploration. Please search Beechwood Park for previous posts about this unique and beautiful park!
