Last vegetative waste pickup for 2012 is this Monday, Oct 29.

Gentle reminder (especially with “Frankenstorm” coming)…the last vegetative waste collection date in Harrington Park for 2012 is this Monday, Oct 29. Leaf vacuuming is ongoing, but please do not put sticks or heavy grass or annuals in/on the leaves- these are too heavy to be vacuumed up. Branch chipping will resume in December…so take some time (Sat will be the nicer day) to clean out your garden, trim the shrubs, and take out annuals for pickup and composting. Stack the larger branches for later chipping. Also- please notice if your storm drain grid is blocked with leaves, especially with the expected heavy rains. (Happy to replace this with a more in focus picture!…this was taken with a cell phone while walking my dogs, who HATED the noise of the vacuum. MAS)
