Borough Sidewalk Program completed

Taken from the Oct 2012 Borough Engineers Report (Neglia Engineering Associates) provided by Councilwoman Joon Kim: Harrington Park received a NJDOT Safe Streets Grant on the amount of $250,000 for new sidewalks, ramping, signage, and crosswalks along Tappan Road, Harriot Ave, and Bogerts Mill Road. The project sidewalk path has been designed to provide a direct walking route from Eckerson Field to Highland Field along Harriot Ave and Tappan Road. In addition, the project includes sidewalks along Bogerts Mill Road. M. Ingannmorte & Son, Inc was awarded the $227,801.25 project and has completed all the required work. The project included additional ADA – accessible ramps on the Borough Hall/Borough School’s side of Harriot Ave for mid-block crossing. The final construction at the Bogert’s Mill Road and Harriot Ave intersection has been completed.

Enjoy a colorful and safe walk from Tappan Rd down Harriot and on to Bogert’s Mill and enjoy the beautiful fall colors MAS.
