Blue bottles for a Green School

On Friday September 14th, all of the students at Harrington Park School were given blue reusable bottles. The logo incorporates HP, the recycling arrow, and the words Reduce/Reuse/Recycle. (Blue and white are the school colors!) Dr. Fried sent the following email out to all the HP School families:

Good Morning HP Families,
In an effort to continue our goal of sustainability and educating our children on ways they can be part of this effort, the Harrington Park DPW Recycling Program and the Mayor and Council have generously donated BPA free water bottles to each student for use throughout the school year.
Over the past five years, the Harrington Park School District has been converting our water fountains to hydration stations.  These efforts as well as the efforts of the community Green Team will allow us to continue on our path to sustainability.  Stay tuned throughout the year for more information and programs that will bring to the forefront opportunities we can do as a community to help in this goal.
Again, thank you to the HP DPW and the Mayor and Council for the water bottles and enjoy the start of the school year.
Dr. Fried
